Anatolia is usually the name that people whisper as the answer of 'where is the best Turkish restaurant in town?' The rich blue velvet interior and ambience is dark, sexy and to be honest with you, quite cozy. The interior is very spacious and is divided into two sections. The area of the main entrance is for dining and the area through the backdoor is allocated for those wanting to relax and unwind with some sheesha.

To dine Mediterranean style, you most definitely have to start off with a plate of chickpeas goodness, otherwise known as the delicious Hummus. Who can be allergic enough to avoid this dish? At Anatolia you can enjoy them with shaved doner lamb kebab or chicken with chilli flakes. We also recommend the Babaganosh which is char-grilled eggplant, chilli peppers and tomatoes all mixed into an amazing dip that goes so well with warm traditional turkish bread.

The choices for starter and appetizers at Anatolia are tremendously overwhelming. For vegetarians, you have surely found your mecca. For those who cannot stand or even conceive a meal without any meat what-so-ever, you will be delightfully surprised at how delicious and fulfilling a vegetarian meal can be here at Anatolia! Start with the Ispanakli Mantar which is basically stuffed mushroom with cheese and spinach baked slowly in the wood oven. Or of course the usual favourites, Falafel which is a way healthier alternative to fish cakes and most definitely potato wedges!

But the one small appetizer that has Love Indonesia drooling, and wanting more is the Karides Tava. Now, when you think about Turkish food, you think chickpeas, lamb, chicken, eggplants etc. Seafood or shrimp do not straight to the mind but their deep fried marinated shrimp with tarator sauce is divine. This dish will surely makes any other shrimp or shrimp cocktail dish pale in comparison.

The ultimate prize dish at Anatolia is undoubtedly their signature lamb shank dishes. In the menu, you will see that that the lamb shanks are cooked and prepared in eight different ways; with different spices, vegetables, pastes and even side dishes. No matter how different these lamb shanks are served, it is their unique technique of cooking in the wood oven that makes all of these dishes mouth-watering and simply irresistible. All of their signature lamb dishes we recommend that you share as portions are quite large. We highly recommend the Patlicanli Incik Kebab which is an awesome lamb shank dish that is tangy and spicy to the bone, accompanied with deep fried eggplant in rich tomato paste, some fresh herbs and spices and served with a Bezelyeli Pilav which is basically steamed rice with a dollop of butter, olive oil and fresh green peas.

If you are not in the mood for a big meal, just come and enjoy the ambience at Anatolia with their authentic Turkish desserts and a cup of their traditional ground coffee. Make sure you take a Turkish friend with you who knows a thing or two about cup reading, as it is customary, surely an exciting way to enjoy a cup of coffee.
