Opening the year 2020, Jakarta Concert Orchestra conducted by Avip Priatna will perform the Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35, written by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1878, which is one of the best-known violin concertos in the world on Friday, 21 February 2020 at Usmar Ismail Hall, Jakarta at 7.30 pm.

A very talented 20-year-old South Korean violinist, Ms. Sueye Park who is currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, and has performed in several big orchestras will be the soloist in this Violin Concerto.

The concert is to commemorate the 180th year of the famous composer’s birth (1840) while sharing and exposing his great works to Jakarta audience.

Besides the famous piece, they will also play Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no : 5 in E Minor Op. 64 and Marche Slave in B flat minor Op. 31.
